Related: About this forumNH CNN poll: Sanders beats Trump by 20 points. Hillary wins by only 8
Sanders wins by 20, Biden by 19. But hey, lets go with the candidate who does 11 or 12 points worse than the other two. Because she's "electable".
Clinton 50 Trump 42
Sanders 57 Trump 37
Biden 56 Trump 37

(9,086 posts)For a second I thought it was nation wide. It's good to know NH's 4 electoral votes will probably stay blue.

(62,325 posts)Repubs like Trump who just might make it to the nomination. Things really are that bad on the other side!

(15,951 posts)Biden almost equals him and he hasn't been campaigning in the state at all. So to me the most impressive number is the Biden number.

(10,721 posts)First of all, I don't think Trump will be the Republican nominee. Secondly, few states (FL, OH, CO, VA) are in question and NH ain't one of 'em.

(10,721 posts)I think there are a couple of reasons why Clinton supporters insinuate over and over and over again that all criticism of Clinton is from the right, thus denying the very valid leftist critique. One reason is the ignorance of that leftist critique, or a refusal to accept that having a 'D' next to one's name isn't the end-all-be-all. Another reason is that Clinton has, in fact, been the target of an immense amount of irrational right wing attacks.
So, as favorable as the electoral college map is, Clinton may just be too polarizing to win the battleground state(s) that the Democratic nominee needs to win. While Big Banks, Big Ag, the military industrial complex, the prison industrial complex et al. don't really have much problem with Clinton (they'll donate as much or more to her than to her opponent), right wingers despise her. They absolutely loathe all things Clinton. I still think she's more likely than anyone else running to become the next POTUS, but her favorable:unfavorable ratio should be taken into account.

There was no mention of Bernie's huge lead but someone quickly chimed in.

(32,723 posts)"Socialism" doesn't have the sting you might think. (Especially around people on social security.)
A grandfatherly white guy isn't going to freak them out when he goes after rich people and corporations for not paying their fair share of taxes.
Now hate for the CLINTONS is another thing. The idea of seeing Bill and Hill back in the White House for another eight years is going to make conservatives consider carpooling to the polls.

(32,886 posts)If and when the GOP gets finished with Bernie, he won't be able to get within 10 points of anyone currently running for the nomination on the GOP side.
That is why every conservative pundit I debate for the last 4 months wants to talk up Bernie. They all know the GOP can grind him into the ground easily. He's the one they want to run against. I finally got one of them to admit it on air.
