Through the 3rd quarter, Clinton has raised $73 M (exclusive of Super PACs); Sanders has raised $41 M. Biden has raised...$0.
Every day that passes means that more political and financial support is locked up by another candidate, and that the other candidates (even Sanders) have significant war chests to draw on. For Biden to get in AND have the resources to hire and deploy a campaign team at the last minutes is virtually impossible.
(I will pause here for the obligatory "we should have publicly funded campaigns" comment. I agree that we should. We don't).

(81 posts)Her fundraising numbers will be atrocious at Q4, thanks to poorer-than-expected showing on the debates and a decision will have to be made before the beginning of the primaries on what exactly to target before Super Tuesday.
Let's try not to include SuperPACs in the totals - you're just proving Bernie's point.
