(19,460 posts)I bet they think they won't have to pay back all those college loans once Bernie cancels all those trillions in student debt.

(18,421 posts)Seriously every other first world nation has a better public education system, but fuck that I had to pay (much much less than today) so fuck them they should to. That'll teach 'em, that lazy millennial crowd.
Yeah?

....
Sanders only formal proposal is his College for All Act of 2015. The Independent Senator calls for all four-year public universities to be free. His plan outlines a 0.5 percent tax increase on stock trades, 0.1 percent on bonds and 0.005 percent on derivatives.
Both Clinton and OMalley have also addressed college affordability, however both of the candidates want to tackle student debt and regulate tuition price hikes.

(23,946 posts)Bringing down the cost of education reflected in tuition fees is a good first step, at which point the tuition made free would be less expensive thst currently proposed.
Tuition inflation is a primary proximate cause of soaring and unmanageable and enslaving student debt. What goes up can come down.
Evolution, not revolution.

(12,389 posts)will be HRC and J!. Frankly, I'm a Bernie fan, so I'm hoping that he will continue to amaze the country and be the candidate. But if not, I won't ever ever ever vote for a Bush or do anything to make that possible. If your only option is to sit it out, have at it, but I won't.

(12,389 posts)I'm know that I shouldn't look for the inevitable, but I battle between my ideology and reality. And as we all know, there is the unknown Joe (who, like Lancelot, could sweep in to the picture).
Still and all, it won't be a Bush. I may only have one vote, but it won't be for a Bush.
