(15,805 posts)They spoke with sincerity and outlined their agendas that are just as worthy of our attention as the front runners. The corporate media won't give them a fair chance to tell us about their ideas, and that's not the way a democracy should work.

Anyone else switching to MSNBC for spin room coverage when this is over?
bettyellen
(47,209 posts)yes, refreshing!

(47,209 posts)but I cringed a little when he said everyone agrees women should stay home. SAY WHAT?
funny seeing the token woman ask about it, eh?
BumRushDaShow
(129,543 posts)And agree about alot of "tokenism" going on there. You can't deny "who is in charge".
bettyellen
(47,209 posts)And I do love that on major issues there was a lot of agreement expressed. I think the campaigns have all had mostly good influences on each other, and they are all the better for it.
So, that's nice.

(47,209 posts)and they all spoke about minimum wage increases and investing more in education.
they all will help them some, but who would help the most? I'm not sure, hence the question.
bettyellen
(47,209 posts)as significant as what you want to get done. It's hard to say, but I feel like they are all evolving into better candidates.
Eko
(7,364 posts)Any of them would be tons better than the GOP candidates. You just hear "middle-class" way more than "poor" from even the dems. It was more of a rhetorical question, not to start a debate.
"help the middle class", but not much "help the poor get to middle class". I think that is a sign of how far the right has taken us to where we talk more about the middle class than the poor.
