2016 Postmortem

Clinton looked presidential. Part of this is because she is familiar. Remember how Reagan reminded people of Dad? Clinton is Mom. Safe. Familiar. Rock solid. Never flustered. One hundred percent solid general election candidate. The GOP is probably shaking in its boots.
O'Malley looked vice presidential. Yes, I know I have had a Clinton/Castro 2016 bumper sticker on my car since mid 2014 (when I had it specially printed). However, I would vote for Clinton/O'Malley. O'Malley is great when he takes an impassioned Democratic position. He could rally the base---and criticize the opposition, the VP's job.
Webb looked as if his collar was cutting off the flow of blood from his head. It was hard to pay attention to what he was saying. He looked so uncomfortable. He needs to relax.
Chafee was a blithe spirit. Love the way he smiles. Easy to imagine him teaching at Hogwarts Academy. Hard to imagine him as POTUS.
Sanders doesn't smile. Not even when he delivered his greatest line "Sick and tired of hearing about your emails!" Note that he DID smile when he and Clinton shook hands. Sanders and Clinton are not enemies. They may both be running for the same job, but they are not letting it get in the way of their friendship. DU should learn from their example.
Debate winner: The Democratic Party! Any one of these candidates is ten times better than any of the GOP candidates.

(3,580 posts)Clinton Sanders and OMalley did a great job and any one of them are light years ahead of the angry right-wing mob running for the GOP nomination.
