2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumSo when should I expect my free stuff to arrive?
I know the big ticket items won't arrive until after next November but the smaller items should start arriving after the first debate if I'm not mistaken.
Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) on Wednesday morning lamented that the Democratic presidential debate was merely a competition over who would grant the American people more "free stuff."
"If you watched that debate last night it looked like something from the early 80s," Rubio said on "Fox and Friends." "It was basically a liberal verses liberal debate about who was going to give away the most free stuff: Free college education, free college education for people illegally in this country, free health care, free everything."
"Their answer to every problem in America is a government program and a tax increase. Thats all they prescribe time and time again," he continued.
Rubio said that the debate "became exactly what I predicted it would be: a race to the left to see whod be the most radically liberal, the most big government. And thats what this whole primary is going to be for the Democratic side."
His comment about "free stuff" is reminiscent of former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush's (R) comment in September that he would win over black voters with a message of "hope and aspiration," not "free stuff."

The Federal Government has to start saving money for when Florida is taken over by the sea. Climate change does not exist, of course.

Then there's my 85 year old friend who's still waiting for her forty acres and a mule, although she was born 65 years after the end of the Civil War.
