you then congratulated them for pointing out there are no numbers.

You are being disingenuous and you know it, why not just admit it.

I wouldn't have asked if I knew there were no poll numbers to be had. All I read here this afternoon after coming home from work was people whining about Bernie Sanders supporters posting poll results.

But you go on with your bad self.

in order to get a large enough sample size.

Sometimes flash polls are conducted, but they are notoriously unreliable and those are usually conducted after GE debates because a lot more people watch those debates.

You're gonna have to wait a few days for reliable post-debate political polling to come out.

I'm surprised you didn't know this. What was your major? Clearly it wasn't statistics.

The Political Prediction Marketplace is run by an outfit called Pivit and it "combines historical data, real-time info, and the wisdom of the crowds to produce live odds of real-world events occurring." The historical and real-time data comes from a variety of sources, many of which are exclusive to Pivit.

Sounds dubious? Sure. But no more so or less so than instant online click-polls. I will give Privit this much: while the polls show Trump with over 20 percent and Carson trailing a bit behind, Privit's calculations suggest that the odds of Trump actually getting the nomination is around 16 percent and Carson's odds are only 7 percent; on the other hand, Rubio is polling at around 10 and Bush at around 9 but the Privit odds have Rubio at 25 percent and Bush at 31 percent -- I suspect those odds are closer to reality than the poll numbers suggest.
