Clinton Shows Big Lead Over Sanders in Latest NBC/WSJ Poll

Hillary Clinton has increased her lead over Bernie Sanders in the wake of the first Democratic debate, now besting the Vermont senator by at least 20 points among Democratic primary voters, according to a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.

With Vice President Joe Biden included in NBC/WSJ poll of Democratic voters, Clinton now gets the backing of 49 percent of respondents, up from 42 percent last month. Sanders has sunk from 35 percent to 29 percent support.

Biden now garners 15 percent backing, down from 17 percent last month. No other Democratic candidate received more than two percent in the poll.

When Biden, who has not yet announced a presidential run, is eliminated from the hypothetical Democratic matchup, Clinton's lead is 58 percent to Sanders' 33 percent. In September, without Joe Biden in the race, her lead over Sanders was 53 percent to 38 percent.

National polls.

Which are nothing but beauty contests, since we don't vote that way.

Hope Hill does well in the swimsuit competition!

Most people aren't focused on the elections yet and are primarily influenced by what they see in about three minutes of news coverage.

She started out as a default leader

Her numbers were not really affected by the faux "scandals"

Her numbers went down as Sanders went up.

Thats not negative coverage.

What would have happened if the media had agreed or even COVERED the online polling?

Also, the online polling is not the same animal as "professional" polling.

The online polling is a popularity contest, and anyone can participate.
Bernie won that easily, however you want to explain it.

The "professional" polling is looking for
Registered Democrats who voted in the last Election.
Hillary is winning those polls.

Bernie is counting on crossover appeal, and he is counting on bringing in new voters.

So apples and oranges.

It really all comes down to a cold night in Iowa, and none of the polls matter except for that one.

Who wins and how the media handles it will be very important to the rest of the primary season.

I just know it. "They" want Hillary so "they" are poisoning us so we vote for her.

Or aliens. It could be aliens.

Polls only matter when BS is in the lead.

When Hillary is in the lead, it's 1) too early, 2) people just don't know Bernie, 3) wait until the debates or 4) pick your own answer.

What would Bernie do?

Would Bernie blame the polls on an MSM pro-Hillary conspiracy? I don't think so. At the debate he criticized the MSM for constantly carrying on about Hillary's emails.

So she wins the primary but will she lose the GE like Mindale did? This is what scares me. Her GE polls are terrible I mean she loses in a landslide to Carson for crying out loud ugh.
