Sanders wishes Republicans a speedy recovery from ‘amnesia’ over wrecking the economy

Sanders took to the stage to remind the crowd that so-called fiscally conservative Republicans ran up the deficit, and that before President Obama took office, the global financial system was “on the verge of collapse” and hundreds of thousands of people were losing their jobs each month.

“They suffer from amnesia,” Sanders said. “They forgot what the world looked like seven years ago. They forgot that 800,000 people a month were losing their jobs. They forgot that the world’s financial system was on the verge of collapse. And they just forgot that we ran up the largest deficit in the history of the United States in the last year of George Bush.”

He also bashed Citizens United, a controversial Supreme Court decision that allows the wealthiest to donate unlimited amounts of money to political campaigns.

I don't have a list, but anyone who actually voted for both should be automatically disqualified from being considered presidential material, imo. I don't want to hear their explanations, rationalizations, excuses. Voting for war with Iraq was disastrous, and voting for a bailout of the banks instead of the people, was cronyism at its worst.

supporting disastrous policies. If I knew better than to go to war in Iraq and bail out the banks with nothing for the people, those in Congress should have damn well known better. I expect people in Congress and on the SCOTUS and the Pres. to be smarter than I am, and greed is no excuse for idiotic behavior.

We should be also remind them of the Harding/Coolidge/Hoover collapse.

They have a habit of doing this crap. Pointing out only one example isn't making the point well enough.

And whats more amazing is that many brainless voters believe it.

It reminds me of how dictators in oppressed nations control how people think. Scary.
