2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumMegan McCain.... talking dizzy ditz
They were chatting about whether VP picks are a factor in elections. For the most part they are not. She was pushing that Ryan will give the GOP an advantage and saying that Biden has too many gaffes. It isn't that Biden has gaffes. It is that the damn efn media and teabaggers are misinterpreting his message.
Megan is clueless about politics.

(5,812 posts)Is treated like she has a lick of sense?? Why is she one of the talking heads? Her credentials include working on her father's failed bid for the Presidency. And not much else. OH, and she wrote a book. Big deal. Most of what she says is blather or repeated talking points. (Come to think of it, blather and talking points are the same thing.) Is it because she is young and blond? Do they think viewers will listen to her because of that? I'd like to think the voters have the ability to think critically, but then if that were true, would Romney/Ryan be on the Republican ticket this year? Stupid me. Actually, thinking that critical thinking skills come in handy when evaluating candidates for the highest offices in the land.

(24,634 posts)Not all Art History majors. My sister works for a small cultural organization in NYC as an assistant Program director for Arts and Culture. She worked damned hard there. Started off as a receptionist in the place. Megan McCain is a flake...but let's give the humanities a break. Some of those students really cared about the subject.

(4,945 posts)I am curious to see the quality of her scholarship. Note that she hasn't pursued a post graduate degree...
