Zip, zilch, nada... Unless you enjoy spamming op-eds and polls of no consequence, you might want to find something more productive to do with your time. I'm going for a lovely evening walk among the trees.

So we'll see who needs who.
Btw, that's not a very 'winning' tactic, telling voters 'we don't need you'!

(62,325 posts)spending an inordinate of time on the wrong questions regarding Libya. The investigation should have been about why we invaded and destabilized that sovereign nation in the first place. And turned a once advanced African nation into a horrific hell hole for the people we SAID we were going there to 'save'.
But I understand that they couldn't do that because all of them are FOR the neocon/PNAC invasions. So instead they focus on something that both parties can use for political purposes.

The general is something else, but y'all probably know exactly how you're going to win that, too, so good luck.

Such a funny way to persuede people to vote for h. Why doesn't she just ask for our ballots and tick it off for us?
They want us to fall on our swords for them.
Especially Staten Island! Don't they have enough of what should be ours already?

For you to accuse people who will NOT forget these wars for profit or the hundreds of thousands of human beings who suffered and sure didn't profit from them, of thinking of only themselves, says a whole lot more about you than about them.

(8,069 posts)to President Sanders? Really?
No bogus "scandals"? No obstruction? They'll just roll over and play nice because.... because....
I think just as the election of the first African American president drove the racists into frantic overdrive, the election of the first Jewish president--whether he's practicing or not--and regardless of anything he does in reality--will similarly show us just how deeply anti-Semitism runs among the GOP/Teabagger zealots.
Not that this in any way should impact whether or not we support Bernie, but to think he'll have an easier time with the Fox News/Rush Limbaugh hate industry than either Clinton or Obama is just delusional. And I sure do hope that there are people in the Sanders campaign already trying to come up with ways to meet the inevitable shit-storm the GOP has in store for them.

(47,803 posts)The right-wing GOP is going to raise a perpetual shitstorm no matter what Democrat runs or gets elected.
Then we might as well give them something substantial to get upset about -- like a truly progressive set of positions on issues, rather than the fodder for meaningless distractions that Clinton has given them over the years.
thucythucy
(8,069 posts)I just hope the Sanders campaign is truly ready for this. I've read comments here that simply deny Senator Sanders will face that kind of opposition, or (as you can read up thread) that Bernie's "personality" will deflect the shitstorm.
I'm old enough to remember how Dukakis essentially rolled over and allowed the GOP to define him, somehow thinking that remaining "above the fray" would play well with voters. It was painful to watch. Senator Sanders has never had to face the kind of malicious, bigoted, ignorant and downright sociopathic campaign the GOP will wage against him. If he does win the nomination, I sure as hell hope he's got some people plotting this all out.

(146,317 posts)We'll certainly not direct our arguments at you, then, in the future, as we have apparently and constantly been doing so far. Please feel free to ignore my posts hereafter. They are not directed at you. They are designed to treat the presidential election as the national event it is, with every state voting both in primaries and the general election.
They are designed to point out the differences between Democratic and Republican candidates and policies in general. They are designed to help us choose a Democrat who will win the election and prevent all three branches of government from being controlled by Republicans.
That's apparently of no interest to you, so you're right to ignore all such posts if you've already made up your mind to simply not support the Democratic nominee if he or she is not the person you support.
As for myself, I will do as I have done in every presidential election since my first in 1968. I will vote for the Democratic nominee, because the alternative is unthinkable.
I invite you to skip over any thread-starting post I write. Or, as an alternative, you could use DU's Ignore feature to avoid seeing anything I write here. It's your choice, of course.
Either way, do, please pay careful attention to what you write on DU. I never like to see anyone become unable to post due to intemperate use of language in their posts.

I love the way he embraced the Muslim community this last week, especially. He has my admiration. I had no clue who he was before this site.
It is a shame he and Bernie aren't at the top. I would feel good about 2016, if they were my two choices.

You're just m making it about teams now. Should be us vs. Republicans, and here you are making it about BS vs. Hillary - don't work up such a hatred against a democrat that you are reluctant to vote for them. Seems odd if you can work up such a hatred of other Democrats and be a Democrat.

I'm just shocked at democrats that actually believe a man that says things like this....
My own feeling is that the Democratic Party is ideologically bankrupt.
We have to ask ourselves, Why should we work within the Democratic Party if we dont agree with anything the Democratic Party says?
Is somehow on their side? And they trust him to not go third party if he is denied the nomination of the party he so clearly holds in contempt.
