I have a feeling "Pro-Life" means many things to many people....

...low information voters probably just equate pro-life with a general feeling that abortions are icky and uncomfortable to talk about or even think about.

But it seems very few think through the extreme nature of the Republicans platform of 'life at conception', or 'no exceptions', or 'abortion as a criminal act', when all those positions are extreme and ridiculous.

I just don't get how they get away with it, the public should be rejecting these positions (and the politicians that support them), because the public doesn't actually believe in them anyway.

Republicans have most Americans believing that they are pro-life by saving the fetus.

Yet, they want to do away with most of the Federal programs that prolong life; such as, Food Stamps, CHIP, school lunches, Medicaid, education, etc, etc, and etc. Also, they want a war with Iran; this is pro-life?

They have hoodwinked the American people big time.

all of these little unborn babies. They don't have any problem, however, with denying them and their families decent housing, enough food to eat or reliable medical care after they are born. When it comes to providing for them or their families, that's when their sense of personal responsibility kicks in.

And if that isn't enough, they oppose comprehensive sex education and the inclusion of birth control in health care packages. They feel that they have the right (in Jesus' name, don'cha know) to meddle in some of the most personal decisions that a woman has to make and to dictate which perfectly legal medical procedures she should be allowed to access.

The hypocrisy gets a little hard to deal with sometimes.

That is

1)No death penalty, no matter how many people the personal has killed.Givenhim a luxurius pace to stay in to support is life

2) Police force and oth law enforcement agencies not to carry any lethal weapons, especially guns. Evne though their lives may be threatened, the police mus not use any lethal means at all. No more "Stop or I'll shoot."

3)Military to be reduced drastically and no more weapons except basic defensive weapons. Most units to be armed with nothing. Signing of treatments that fobid any war at all.

4)Evryone to wear a mask to prevent spread of diseases to others.

5)Babies to be born under any circumstances, rape or otherwise.

Sorry, can't think or more. But basically, if you want to be pro-life be pro-life for all ages ad all circumstances.

that i fully support the pro-choice or pro-abortions movement either. Then agian, I do not go with the extreme comments that the abortion stats in the US (why just the US? Do pro-lifers in the US this the world is the US) equal to Hitler death camps.

not "pro-abortion". Pro-woman's rights. It is a fundamental human right that a woman have sovereignty over her own body - the right to make decisions about her own body that are only hers to make.

And abortion stats are irrelevant.

And it is not a movement. That fight has already been fought and won. It secured government assistance for women in poverty in order to give them the same health care opportunities as women of means.

If you want abortion to be legal in any way, then the law should accommodate a person's choice for access to abortion.

Period. What are you talking about?

designed by unscrupulous GOP think-tanks and repeated over and over, to misinform and mislead the public - like we always do.

These kinds of labels are specifically designed to accomplish exactly what they have accomplished. They are better at it than Democrats. They always have been. It is most frustrating.

She's almost Zoroastrian in that respect. Still, if she wanted an abortion I would fully support her decision, regardless of the conditions. None of my daughters are "use it as birth control" sorts (and frankly, I reject that entire notion).

We've always had a "no kill" rule for spiders. Some we leave in the house, other types we take outside, but we do NOT kill them. They're beneficial. She took on a near-Wiccan view and is her own person. We respect that, but once in a while we do have to pull a weed or two.

It's the rich white-people's party and pretty much always has been. Curiously, ignorant white Welfare recipients are one of their major support groups. Go figure. They're the ones who get screwed six ways from Sunday by the GOP. But hey, Guns, God, Jesus, and Taxes they don't pay are more important than their own families.
