(4,551 posts)Hopefully it's not just wishful thinking from our side.
We can't take anything for granted.
Romney is ahead in the PPP poll in Wisconsin today by 1 point.
It's time to link Ryan to Akin and drive those Wisconsin numbers back down.

(33,497 posts)it's basically a toss-up which can be seen as disappointing to both sides. Romney has a Wisconsin politician on his ticket (the first time WI has had anybody on the national ticket) and the best it can produce is a toss-up? and Obama because I don't think they wanted to have to spend time and money here, but now they will.

(18,791 posts)...but we've seen some stupid lack of strategy in the past. I'm hoping for no stupid.
A semi-off topic example. We live in an area of Southern California, where current H of R, Rep. Waxman (D) is...he is being challenged by a "former" GOP guy named Bloomfield. Bloomfield is now running as a "no party" and pledges to work SIMPLY to solve problems (I am NOT so sure that he would not be biased by his GOP history and his wealth). ANYWAY, we have seen not one single mailer, etc. out of Waxman...my partner has tried 3 times to contact his office, regarding why we see nothing in our area regarding him and the campaign. Bottom line...my partner has gotten a HUGE HOSTILE response, in fact, downright rude reaction! We are both registered Dems and this crap is really concerning. According to rumor in the district (which is pretty big, but still...) Waxman is only going to concentrate his efforts in the Santa Monica area, feeling that the rest of the district isn't worth his money or time. Bloomfield is working the ENTIRE area.
THAT is an example of what the stupid I'm talking about.

(33,497 posts)that was proved in the recall. Obama has to connect with rural, small town voters. I'd suggest he take a bus tour of western Wisconsin and places like Praire Du Sac, Eau Claire and La Crosse, etc.
up 2 points from last poll, after Akin his numbers should go up because DNC, Obama will tie Akin to the whole republican party

I completely agree. Until we get rid of the electoral college, national polls are pointless.
Only polls that matter are the ones in Florida, PA, OH, Colorado, VA, etc.
