Guess who is kicking a$$ on Piers Morgan CNN?

Jerry Springer!

He just finished a righteous rant in response to Piers' question about why unemployment remains high and why shouldn't the Pres. be held accountable for it.

It appears to be a repeat rather than live.

It's a shame he left politics for the, er, darker side of entertainment TV, but nice to see him still be able to make a good argument with enthusiasm on things that matter.

Go Jerry!

He's actually a very smart and progressive guy.

That sometimes gets forgotten since he's famous for a show were people come on and say things like: "I had sex with my sister's pet goat."

WOW ... our politicians today do that all the time ...

Jerry gets paid 6 -8 million annually, somewhere between 25-40 grand a show ... average local politician gets paid 40-50 grand annually ... any questions ...

He's a fucking whore, the bottom of a garbage pail, a person who would sell off his political ideals for cheap, chair-throwing thrills marketted to trailer trash, which he did daily, for years!!!

To use the immortal words of George Carlin, "Fuck him in the ass with a stolen dildo."

I despise Jerry Springer and I don't give a fuck what he thinks. His ethics were all too evident for all to witness. Daily! For years!

He has a lot of Karma to make up for before I'll not revile him for his evil deeds. All for money.

Jerry! Jerry! Jerry!!! Screw you!

Jerry Springer is marketed to people who use expressions such as "trailer trash," because it reinforces their vanity.

Jerry Springer, for years, patronized the lowest common cultural denominator in such a shameless and self-serving manner.

I have zero respect for Jerry Springer for that shameless and unethical divergence from a now putatively honorable path.

He's nothing but a media whore without ethics.

on edit: When the chair throwing began on many episodes, the crowd chanted:

Jerry! Jerry!! Jerrrr-eeee!!!!

Instant Karma's a bitch.

I lived in Ohio for twenty years and have met Jerry on several occasions. You will never, not in a hundred lifetimes, find a person who is more devoted to the Democratic Party and the what it stands for than Jerry Springer. You will rarely find soneone who can articulate our positions more eloquently.

If you live in Ohio, chances are you've heard Jerry speak to your county Democratic Party. The man is relentless in traveling the state and generous in his support to local party committees. I've always said that you put Jerry in a room with 100 people who have never seen his TV show, he'd have all 100 of them eating out of his hand before the night was over.

The fact is that Jerry's career outside the City of Cincinnati was effectively over when he was caught with a prostitute. The voters in Cincinnati forgave him (note that he became Mayor after that incident), but he simply had no future in statewide, and much less national, politics.

I attended one of the earliest tapings of his show, back when it was done in Cincinnati. The original concept was to be a Donohue-type discussion of current events. It was a snooze-fest of epic propostions and would have failed in a matter of a few months. I should note that had it debuted today, with a little tweaking and a place on cable (such as Current) it probably would have been viable.

But that was then. And so they made it what it is today, something which Jerry himself calls, "a profoundly stupid show." I personally wish that he hadn't done it. When I look at Jerry, I'm sad for a political career that never got off the ground and a man who cares passionately about working people but who will always live on the periphery of the political process.

So hate him all you want. I can't.
