Rasmussen: Akin's sinking like a stone.

http://www.washingtontimes.com/blog/inside-politics/2012/aug/23/poll-akin-trails-mccaskill-10-points/

Missouri Rep. W. Todd Akin has plummeted in a new poll, falling 10 points behind Sen. Claire McCaskill in a survey taken after he made controversial comments about rape.

Once thought to be vulnerable to Republicans, Mrs. McCaskill now leads the battered six-term congressman 48 percent to 38 percent in a Rasmussen poll of 500 likely Missouri voters, conducted Wednesday.

That's a reversal from one month ago, when she trailed him by 3 points, although that poll was taken while Mr. Akin still was fighting off two challengers in a close primary battle.

4. Pubbies will find a way to force him out regardless of "deadlines."

But even if they do, the damage is probably done. Even if they could find a wildly popular stand in candidate it would not likely be enough. As disliked as McCaskill might be, she is still an incumbent and opposition disarray increases her chances significantly even if they produce an alternative candidate at some point.

His casual dismissal of rape/women is tied to the GOP's core values...we can only hope everyone sees that.

Romney didn't have a chance anyway, but I like my threats to humanity charbroiled whenever possible.

I'm also hoping this is a sea change for the Democratic party. The New Dem line has been that these people are just like us and we need to compromise with them in order for everything to be perfect.

We compromise with people who enable violence against women and children? I can't say that's on my list of priorities...

It is part of their party platform and the way they breathe. They are the party of rape and enjoy it.

So much for his plans to be a Convention star.
Hope he has the power to sink not only himself, but to drag down more than a few other of his ilk.

He has an agenda.

Akin probably is sinking but I'll wait till a legitimate pollster backs that notion up before celebrating.

This guy spoke the party line and everybody was shocked about it. It shows how clueless at least 10% of the voters are, and these are the people who are unfortunately deciding our elections!
