Honestly---I don't give a shit if you vote for Hillary.

I do know that if you lobby folks here to not vote for her after she wins the nomination---- your life-expectancy on DU will be shorter than a Lovebug on I-95.

There will always be people who will take this position either out of conviction or just a plain hissy fit.

I sincerely believe that there's not enough of you to make a dent in a err Lovebug's ass.

So yell---scream---stomp your foot---whatever---because seriously, I personally don't give a fuck.

The last months have seen strong fluctuations and there are still months ahead. I would say the end-result is unpredictable.

Based on the current numbers I would guess the odds of Hillary winning vs. Bernie winning to be 2 to 1.

Not bad for a guy that a year ago no one had heard of.

(I understand odds are always a tricky thing if you cannot repeat something under identical conditions. I mean odds in a Bayesian sense.)

Her problem was she never got her numbers over 50%. Except for that short period in Aug-Sept, she's never been below 50% this time around:

Add to which, she's learned the lessons of ignoring Caucus States and won't make the same mistake again. And she'll have the financial resources to hire the ground staff to turn those expressions of support into actual votes.

… about whether or not another person actually votes and in someone growing weary of hearing about it. It's a mistake to confuse the two or to draw conclusions by conflating the two.

I feel the same way as the OP. The so-called "conscience voters" whose "vote is not for sale" are merely seeking attention and having a tantrum. They're feeling fearful and helpless and frustrated. They are likely seeking validation from other like-minded individuals, or they want to regain some sense of control by engaging with others who feel obligated to try and talk them down.

Ugh. What a waste of time to indulge their vanities. Why reward bad behavior? It only encourages more of the same. At its most base level, that type of behavior reminds me of a toddler having a fit at the candy rack of the grocery store. They know they've lost the battle, yet they persist because the parent gives them attention.

It doesn't matter that the attention is negative, it's attention and that's good enough. The child "forced" the parent to do something, to respond, and that's apparently all they need to feel as though they're in control of an uncontrollable circumstance.

So, when a frustrated toddler threatens to hold their breath until they turn blue in the face, I say LET THEM (for all the good it will do). At least when they pass out, they'll be quiet.

… because I wouldn't let him play in the washing machine.
… because I wouldn't let him take a bath in his Halloween costume.
… because he found a deformed gummy bear.
… because Daddy shaved his mustache.
… because Bernie isn't going to be the Democratic nominee.

I wouldn't be mocking anyone for crying. I am sorry that my memory is not short and that I believe words and actions mean something. If Hillary supporters want to grow the ranks of her supporters they need to treat people who are not quite there yet as though they matter. Just saying...

But tell me. How many Republicans will vote for her? How many Indys are excited about voting for someone that many see as a liar, dishonest, and untrustworthy?

The word “liar” was mentioned 178 times in association with Hillary Clinton. Some of the other top words voters said to describe the former Secretary of State were “dishonest,” “untrustworthy,” and “criminal.”

http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/poll-liar-frequently-word-hillary-clinton/story?id=33361629

How has the voter turnout among Democrats been in the last two elections with the establishment candidate on the ticket?

How will someone with high disapproval's (>50%) do in a national election?

How will someone who doesn't create enthusiasm do when excitement among voters is already really low?

How?

With only 91 posts (as of this writing), and a fairly new account, and taking into account that top GOP strategists are flooding message boards, twitter-feeds, and FB pages with #gobernie and #feelthebern, it's getting more difficult to separate the wheat from the chaff.

And what the heck do you mean, "Clinton trolls"? Just in case it slipped your mind, this is the DEMOCRATIC UNDERGROUND, she's a DEMOCRAT, and her supporters are DEMOCRATS. So dial down the use of "trolls" when referring to her DEMOCRATIC supporters, okay?

In the heat of the moment, and in the eagerness to quickly post a reply, it could be that the phrase "Clinton trolls" was inadvertent. If so, it's definitely a clue regarding the writer's mindset, and possibly of the writer's habitual and instinctive way of referring to Hillary Clinton supporters. I have to wonder, what kind of person is it that would being using such a phrase with such regularity that it accidentally slips out? Where would this type of phrase be commonplace? What are we to make of that?

The stronger Hillary Clinton becomes, the more of these "new posters" we'll be seeing popping up on DU.

Being "banned" from DU is a pretty pathetic deterrent. After all, there are plenty of sites that aren't owned by HRC supporters.

You bash the nominee?

If Bernie somehow pulls a Virgin Mary miracle and wins the nomination--- I think any member who bashes him should be banned as well.
