Ms. Wasserman-Schultz is actually doing Bernie a favor by having as few people as possible watch him lose another debate.

I am for as many debates as possible. But Ms. Wasserman Schultz is erring on the side of empathy... She wants to spare Senator Sanders' feelings by having as few people as possible watch him lose another debate.

I doubt it was planned, but that appears to be the result. (The Bernie fans should be careful what they wish for, and should probably be more thankful for what they've got.)

And how do you account for the fact that Sanders sputtered and Clinton rose in the polls after the last debate?

If I were a Sanders supporter I'd advocate that the other debates be cancelled.

As for the number of debates that people complain about, in 2007 there were eight candidates, this year there are only three.
