(58,162 posts)for close to a year now there`s been rehires and new jobs. as for the rest of the state it`s hit and miss. i think a lot of people realize that the economy is better than it has been. it`s the perception of things are getting better.we also redistricted the state so the democrats in the chicago land and other areas have all but locked in wins.
but one big problem for the ticket is our governor is about as well liked as your guy walker

(81 posts)The Daily Caller is a conservative pseudonews website which posted a poll conducted by conservative pollster Michael McKeon showing that Romney could win because in the county where Chicago is, Obama's lead was much slimmer than it was in 2008, or something. Daily Caller did not identify McKeon as Dennis Hastert's long-time pollster (Haster was an ultraconservative in Congress):

(4,551 posts)Might have prevented Obama's Senate seat from going to Mark Kirk. The Senate wouldn't be in as much danger of going Republican as it is now.
