Most would consider that pandering to low-information voters, since she is deliberately obscuring the facts.

Once you know how someone votes, or will vote, that's what matters. I know how Clinton will govern. I have no idea how Sanders will govern, simply because I can't get a sense for how he'd build coalitions in congress. He will have almost ZERO support from republicans, and only a little from conservative independents. He'll fire up the progressives who will then turn on him because he won't deliver - he won't be able to. I'm sorry, but in order to govern, you have to build coalitions. Sanders is a great senator, but I can't see him being president, for all the above reasons.

Debates matter because they expose what's underneath, such as what the candidates are saying now vs. what they did about it when they had the chance. I can't ask those questions— all of which are fair — so others have to do it. I just want those "others" to be the other candidates.

That's why I favor a Lincoln-Douglas-style debate. Let the candidates spar with one another. No moderators.

Sanders seems to be easily dominating -- he really does have lots of idea. Hillary just seems to be reacting to what Sanders is proposing.

...the question. It looks very much like foreign policy is simply not on his radar -- but has he not turned on the tv in the past 24 hours?! This is literally the worst attack on Paris since WW II. Knowing what is going on in the world outside our shores is critical now and will be in the future.

Here's a flash: my husband likes Sanders, and he cringed at that non-answer. He said: "Sanders is a one-trick pony."

And if -as his supporters say- people don't know him, for those people it was their first impression of him.

As much as his supporters will defend him, I doubt that many independents or undecideds came out of the debate with a good opinion on Sanders.

It was clear he is NOT ready for the job.

Good grief, they asked him what crisis he survived that will help him as president. All he could come up with was having to compromise with the GOP on a veterans bill.

And on healthcare, I had no idea his idea of single payer involved giving power to the states. Holy shit. Now for sure people will not want their taxes raised 10% to pay for that.

Lets see what the real world thinks...

The 3 Democratic presidential candidates took to the stage for a debate Saturday night. Who do you think won?

Bernie Sanders: 81 %
Hillary Clinton: 14 %
Martin O'Malley: 5 %

42,803 people participated in this poll....

So are 6 of the 9 polls on Huffpollster. All showing your choice of candidate with big leads. But I don't hear you criticizing them.

Phone based polls for the most part exclude Cellphones. Which means anyone under the age of 60 is excluded which puts them right in the range of likely Clinton voters which suits them just fine I bet.

Online polls are supposedly not accurate because people with multiple devices can vote multiple times. But as someone who has written internet polling software, someone who has control of multiple devices is in the margin of error. Even if you say 10% multiple vote that leaves more than enough for Sanders to stomp Hillary 7 time over.

Bernie Sanders had the weakest night of the three Democrats onstage at Saturday night’s debate.
That’s according to a survey of the POLITICO Caucus, a bipartisan group of influential strategists, operatives and activists in Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina and Nevada, who weighed in immediately following the second Democratic primary debate.

Nearly half of Democrats surveyed said the Vermont senator lost the debate, and only 10 percent of Democrats said he won. Those insiders who said Sanders had the worst night argued that he appeared out of his depth on foreign policy a day after terrorist attacks rocked France. He spent just a few seconds addressing the matter in his opening statement before pivoting to his familiar pitch about the economy, in stark contrast to rival Hillary Clinton, a former secretary of state who devoted her entire statement to the Paris attacks.

Democratic Voters Overwhelmingly Think Clinton Won Debate; Particularly Strong on National Security Issues

A Public Policy Polling survey of Democratic primary voters nationally who watched tonight’s debate finds that it reinforced Hillary Clinton’s front runner status. Viewers overwhelmingly think she won the debate, and particularly trust her over the rest of the Democratic field when it comes to issues of national security.

Key findings from the survey include:

-67% of voters think Clinton won the debate, to 20% for Bernie Sanders and 7% for Martin O’Malley. On a related note 63% of viewers said the debate gave them a more positive opinion of Clinton, compared to 41% who said it gave them a more positive opinion of Sanders, and 37% who said it gave them a more positive opinion of O’Malley.

Iowa Focus Group: Among 33 undecided Iowans, HRC clearly wins debate by 23 to 10, and moves 11 undecided to her camp versus 3 for Sanders.

After Strong Iowa Debate GOP Pollster Warns That Hillary Clinton Will Not Be Easy to Beat

Frank Luntz, the guy who crafts talking points for Republicans and does polls, has a warning for Republican candidates after Saturday night’s Democratic debate: Hillary Clinton will not be easy to beat.

Luntz warned, “If GOP thinks Hillary is easily beatable, they’re wrong It’s not just words, but her tone & style are the best I’ve seen so far.”

http://www.politicususa.com/2015/11/15/republican-pollster-warn-gop-hillary-clinton-easy-beat.html

Immediately after Saturday night's Democratic debate, CBS News interviewed a nationally representative sample of debate watchers assembled by GfK's Knowledge Panel who identified themselves as Democrats or independents. By a 23 point margin, these debate watchers say Hillary Clinton won the debate. Fifty-one percent say Clinton won, compared to 28 percent who favor Bernie Sanders. Just 7 percent pick Martin O'Malley as the winner. Fourteen percent called it a tie.

Among Democrats, Clinton is seen as winning by more than two to one, while independents are split between Clinton and Sanders.
