Related: About this forumClinton's campaign delays speech explaining crony capitalism
By Edward R. Murrow

Updated 2:48 PM ET, Wed November 4, 2015
(CBS)Hillary Clinton's top strategists and advisers told CBS last month that their candidate had finally agreed to give a major speech explaining her crony capitalist views and that she would do so before the second Democratic debate on November 14.
That plan has now changed.
Former Citi CEO, Robert Rubin, Clinton' top strategist, told CBS on Wednesday that the speech will now come after the debate in Des Moines, citing the former Secretary of State's busy schedule.
But while Clinton has started writing the speech, aides have said it has been difficult to get her to agree to give it.
Rubin maintained Wednesday that the former senator is "not the least bit apprehensive" to give the speech.
"She's looking forward to it, but these speeches take some time," he added.
In the lead-up to her campaign, Clinton was routinely asked about her "crony capitalist" views. She would usually rebut the questions with a quick disclaimer: She is a "New Democrat," not a crony capitalist.

(12,958 posts)1. Isn't 'crony capitalist' the definition of a new Democrat?
Tax cuts, very little pay, and all that rot

Im not sure Hillary understands what crony capitalism really is.
I found that part beyond ironic as well. What better sum up could there be?

Not quite up to Onion standards but not half bad either. Smart money says we will get Bernie's Democratic Socialism speech before we get Hillary's Crony Capitalism speech.
