Romney to visit Isaac-damaged Louisiana

( Alternate headline: Romney seeks to benefit from storm disaster)

Romney has scheduled a last-minute visit Friday to Lafitte, where he will tour damage with Gov. Bobby Jindal. The storm canceled the first day of Romney's Republican convention, and his campaign has been considering a visit for several days.

Romney is scrapping an appearance in Virginia to go to Louisiana instead.

Heavy rains and flooding have contributed to at least five deaths in Louisiana and Mississippi this week after the slow-moving storm knocked out power in whole neighborhoods.

In Louisiana, Romney will thank emergency first responders for their work.

He would tell the storm victims, "You're on your own. Us repigs hate gov't. I have an idea how you can help yourself. When you're at the end of your rope, just say, 'Go fuck yourself, storm!'. Saying that phrase helps us multi-millionaires get out of any funk we get into!"

The people who got hit hardest from the storm are STILL in the middle of a flood.
And LOTS of folks down there are not happy with anyone from the government, they have had too many disasters hit them in the last 7 years.
