Jan 3, 1993. The Oilers lead the Bills 35-3.

Then, amazingly, the Bills came back to win.

More amazing is what happened afterwards, though. Every time a team was down by more than 30 points, their fans started celebrating. They were sure they were going to win. They kept saying "this is exactly like Jan 3, 1993." It became common knowledge that getting destroyed early in a game was the best strategy for victory.

And it worked! Since 1993, every single team that has faced a large first-half deficit has come back to win. Coaches have started intentionally giving away points early on to get some of that super-comeback magic. The conventional thinking of "getting demolished is bad" has been totally turned on its head.

Umm, no, wait. None of that happened. Since 1993, no team has replicated the Bills' amazing comeback victory. Teams that are getting crushed, and their fans, generally understand that they're very likely to lose.

Now, about that primary campaign...

or what was going on in the world. The entire depth and breadth of my political knowledge is limited to the "start date" of when I created an account here. Prior to that, I have no memories or understanding of anything. A blank slate.

So that's how you treat new members? You "shit on" (your words, right) new people and dismiss them to try and demoralize them by suggesting that because they're "new" then they can't possibly understand complicated concepts as well as veteran members? Nice welcome.

Did you really not understand that? I thought it was pretty clear by my statement "Same DU shit, different DU year". Meh. You've showed your stripes by high-fiving the shit stirring OPs. You fit right in here.
