3. Sad day and end of a career......

Not that we won't be hearing from Clint ever again. He has a movie coming out in a few weeks. But to put such a punctuation mark on his career is just sad. And it also puts in our faces what decline and perhaps dementia can look like. My mother had Alzheimer's and we saw her behavior over a period of years before we could face up to the fact that something was seriously wrong. She "functioned" living on her own for quite a while and could make sense when she talked to us. But then we saw obvious signs that all was not well and managed to deny it for literally years. I think Mr. Eastwood clearly showed signs that something is not going well with his cognitive functions. And it was put out for display for all the world to see. Pretty sad end to a long career.

And on a similar note: Did we not see signs and changes in Reagan for a LONG time before anyone realized he was in serious decline?
