Two Polls Show No Bounce for Romney

The Reuters/Ipsos tracking poll shows President Obama regained a narrow lead over Mitt Romney despite the attention of the Republican National Convention, 44% to 43%.

Romney was ahead by one point on Friday and two points on Thursday.

Said pollster Julia Clark: "This wasn't a lightning bolt convention. Comparatively speaking, this was a more muted convention in general... So it doesn't surprise me that (the bump in polls) wasn't a great deal bigger."

The Gallup tracking poll shows no bounce whatsoever.

Why is a pollster softening a bad poll for Romney?

No convention bounce is BAD, not 'muted'.

I'm scratching my head over that one. Conventions are the ONE time to highlight your candidates. it's the one time to get your faithful excited, and bring more people to the fold. To explain away the lack of bounce that way, is ridiculous. If your multi-million dollar convention, with scads of people weeping on stage, doesn't bounce your candidate.. it has nothing to do with the Convention, and everything to do with the candidate.

They cooked their polls to show a large bounce for their candidate. Predictable.

for covering a hurricane (that Obama probably caused) instead of yet another bunch of old white people whining about how Obama is ruining "their" country ...

Hell, you can turn on damn near any channel in this "liberally-biased media" to hear that ...
