(3,426 posts)Some years back ,indeed a few of those ,back when the tea party was getting up and fired up Willie thought we ought to have us a TEA POT PARTY ! Form a tea pot party ! The party of the truth about all the lies. A party of unity not conformity. The party wheedling the power of persuasion, the party of kindness winning over the uninformed .
Was it just a thought ? Or did something like that actually happen once upon a time ?
I saw this bumper sticker just the other day,it said, Mean People Suck !

(16,864 posts)Willie has certainly been interviewed by AJ, but where is there proof that he's a supporter?? I'm not asking with snark, it's a legitimate question. Because the Willie Nelson I know is far from the Alex Jones spectrum of fucktardry

(7,681 posts)Country music legend Willie Nelson is always up for a collaboration, but this one takes the cake. The 79-year-old music icon recently ran into Dave Mustaine the frontman for the thrash metal band Megadeth at a restaurant in Texas, leading to the metal guitarist suggest a guest appearance for Nelson on the groups upcoming album.
Megadeth have been working on a new project titled Super Collider, and on March 28 Mustaine bumped into Nelson in Austin, where the singer lives and the metal guitarist was apparently house hunting. Also present was Mustaines friend, outlandish conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, pictured with Mustaine and Nelson above.
Willie Nelson is in the restaurant I am eating at. I just met him! How cool is this??? Mustaine posted to Twitter. A few minutes later he added, Im talking to Willie about a guest appearance on The Blackest Crow.

It had to do with me, and I hate that it happened to you.
though it's a bit of shame that a few seemed to miss the positive intent of the OP.

(62,276 posts)There's got to be at least one delegate that supports it at the convention, and any delegates can add language to the platform. By putting it in the platform (along side some kind of end the war on drugs thing), it'd also bring out a lot of young voters.

(7,960 posts)I support Bernie because he's honest and closer to me on the issues but I see much to admire in Hillary so if she wins the nomination I will vote for her gladly.

(314 posts)Hillary on a number of things, but I do like her and will be happy to vote for her if she is the nominee. We should be proud to have three good Democratic candidates to choose from while the other side continues its never-ending shitshow.
