The Koch brothers lie about Canadian healthcare

"SNIP..........................................

The Koch brothers are spending $6million on a new anti-Obama ad; an ad featuring a Canadian woman from Ontario.

Shona Holmes claims our medicare system blocked her from getting the immediate treatment she needed to prevent her from dying from a brain tumour. She mortgaged her home to buy life saving treatment at a Mayo Clinic in the US.

Except she never had a brain tumour. She had a benign cyst on her pituitary gland. Very serious, but not life threatening and treatable in the time period planned in Ontario.

I completely get the fear one goes through when you get told you have a tumour on or near the brain. I do have a brain tumour and have come close to dying more than once.

When was the last time you told a Doctor exactly what treatment you wanted and the timeframe that treatment should be delivered? When was the last time you told a health insurance company what deductible you would allow yourself to be charged for a procedure and which procedures you would choose to undergo for your given medical condition?

Yeah, that totally happens...

Every year, 100,000 people die due to lack of health care in the U.S.

This is not only a moral issue, but a national security issue that we're so vulnerable given that our health care delivery system is so fragmented, expensive and dysfunctional.

We need single-payer health care, not the GingrichCare that we got.

Is this the same stupid person that was ponied out months ago?

And was all over telling her sad, sad story?

And then started gettting called out over the facts? ...and disappearing?

What a pile of bullshit.

Time to get this story out and about.

Her story has been discredited, but even if it she was telling the truth, it's irrelevant because Obamacare is nothing like Canadian health care.
