Preparations for vote rigging in NC?

The Republican Party of NC has sent out mail with instructions to request an "absentee ballot" to voters, and encouraging we vote Republican. NC is a state that requires no excuse for an absentee ballot. I also understand the company that manufactures the voting machines has ties to the Repukes, so the software could be suspect. Think of the possibilities, especially as this state could be very close in the final tally. If only some counties have "defective" totals, the absentee count could be a decider. I could be wrong and maybe all the machines have a built in test to see if they are giving an accurate return. But I haven't seen any info on that. And it come to mind that there were prosecutions, at least in Md & Ohio, for voter manipulation. So do I think the Repukes are crooks? Yes! I sent out for two absentee ballots for the wife & I this morning.

Where do the requests for absentee ballots go back too? In the past when these have been done as cheating the requests go back to the RNC where they fill the repub requests and either throw out dems or send them too late to be returned on time. Or they put the wrong return date on the ballots so they are returned too late to count.

The Motch brothers being the fictitious stand-ins for the Koch brothers, and also for black-box voting machine manufacturers such as Diebold & ES&S

4. Don't forget that the Koch Bros group has the ballots being sent to THEIR address when sent back

Seriously, this is also happening in NC. It was on DU yesterday. The Americans for something... a Koch Bros enterprise, is requesting absentee ballots for people, with THEIR return address on them, so that the County mails them back to the group, then THEY have to mail them on time. Of course, you know that they'll have lists available to check which voter is Democrat, and pretty much toss them in the trash or mail too late. And it is NOT illegal for them to have it sent back to their office, not the County. Major vote stealing going on there...

10. One anecdote

I live in Orange County, NC. This particular county is overwhelmingly liberal. I took lexx21 to get registered. He preferred to go to the BOE in Hillsborough. As he was filling out the form, I asked the lady minding the office (it was lunch time and most were out) if there had been an upsurge in registrations.

"Oh yes! Lot of interest in this election." "Especially in absentee ballots too." And indeed there were a couple of USPS boxes filled with ballots already. But I didn't see if they were going out to voters or coming back in.

edit: This is supernova. Forgot I was writing on Lexx's account.

BOTH campaigns will be emphasizing Absentee voting, because both want to bank as many votes as possible before less engaged voters change their minds about who to vote for, or decide not to bother at the last minutes.
