I think Mitt knows he bombed with his wonder boy VP pick

Rmoney was looking to set the conservative world on fire by picking Paul Ryan.

From what I've seen it hasn't helped him a bit, instead he got a warm mug of MittLite.

Anyone else here agree?

I always thought the ticket would be Romney/Rubio. I think they would certainly be doing better than Romney/Ryan right now. I'll bet Romney is regretting his choice (to the extent the choice was his).

The two bought a house together that is foreclosing and they were together coming up and Rivera is as corrupt as they come! NO WAY would he have been picked at this time... maybe Ryan was the only one available and not too dirty!

He wants Ryan's conservative credentials without Ryan standing by them. I think he is holding back Ryan who would say and do things differently if he had his druthers. (Not that this would help, mind you.)

when he was getting hammered in the press for not releasing his tax returns. It broke the news cycle and miniscule attention span of the press, and has not been an issue since. In some ways he benefitted from putting Ryan as the center of attention before the Sunday talk shows had a go at him on his returns. Now all has been forgotten.

Little Paul is used to batting his big blue eyes and not getting any questions about any of his horse manure. He has shown what small potatoes he is by his inability to handle any of the pressure of a big race. He gets flustered easily and angry when anyone has the gall to question his truthiness.

like a match at all.

They will never have the friendship that Obama does with Biden, that's for sure.

Something tells me it was thrown together so hastily, that they just have to deal with it.

And maybe they know they're screwed, but still have to put up the 'good fight' in order to save face.

My take, anyway.

Ryan's reputation is as a straight talker, but he can't say what he thinks because it conflicts with Mitt's stance. Mitt has stolen Ryan's mojo. But it doesn't matter who Mitt picked, the result would be the same. He or she would have to adapt Mitt's platform, even if no one knows what that is, and his or her pluses would become minuses.

he is an attention craving, backwater, canker-blossom who should be sent back to janesville.
there, he can attend the high school football games and lie about his past game scores, he can tell the track runners that he is faster, and he can tell the guys at the local bar that his dick is big but everyone will be laughing at him for being walter mitty.
