Seriously, it seems to be as productive as fighting a trench war (if not a trench war in itself.)

(1,095 posts)You get a feel for a lot of people during the primaries. A "feel" that does not go away once it's all over. Not so much a grudge, but a certain leariness. I hope everyone thinks about that when they engage within G-D-P.

I'm sure there are plenty of lurkers, but I doubt that they are moved or affected by all of our blathering.

This is a messageboard.
It's all opinion and discussion.
It's a terrific site. But it's a discussion board. Entertainment for the masses.

(9,841 posts)I don't come here to change minds. I come here to see what the arguments are in favor, or against, each candidate.
Based on the arguments I've seen laid out by both sides, I would have to say that Bernie is looking very strong indeed. His supporters are more passionate, more numerous, and have better arguments. Hillary's supporters tend to be content quoting poll results - they constantly boast triumphantly that she *will* win, without ever explaining why she *should* win.

(29,876 posts)Non-political news OPs get scant little traffic anymore.
I do think some of this is because more of the DU members are employed now vs 4 years and just don't have the time anymore.
And of course the other social app are occupying more folks time on top of that.
