2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumMy totally scientific bumper sticker poll shows we truly, irrefutably have a new frontrunner
It is important to me that numbers matter and that there is clear transparency in how results are derived. So before we get to results, let's talk about the methodology.
On the basis that bumper stickers represent enthusiasm for a candidate, which then translates to actual level of support, I decided to conduct a 100% scientifically rigorous and accurate poll at the parking lot of my local Wegmans.
Now I know what you're saying, well, gee, are you sure bumper sticker people accurately represent the whole Democratic voting population? Isn't it possible that people who display bumper stickers are relatively homogeneous in socioeconomic demographics? To which I say, if a single parking lot at a suburban upscale grocery store at 8:00 am on a workday morning isn't a clear reflection on this nation as a whole, I don't know what is. Hell, I saw everything from a Hyundai to a Tesla in the lot. Very diverse.
To conduct the poll itself, I simply walked up and down each row of the lot counting bumper stickers. Simple! No possible way this could be inaccurate! Admittedly, I did throw out bad data, such as bumper stickers that were too dirty to read and the car of a lady that kept threatening to call the police every time I tried to get a close look at her bumper.
And of course, to prove it is all scientific, I need a margin of error. Thankfully those are easy to calculate and can be done without having to adjust for population controls (that would be time consuming!). So I just assumed a total population of 60,000,000 voters (Seems plausible! Good enough!) versus a bumper sticker count of 460. My margin of error is less than 5%! That's a lot better than some of these other so called scientific polls with "weightings" and "parameters" and "math" (Mine is definitely more scientific than those.).
So without further ado. The new leaders, in order, for the Democratic nomination are:
1) Coexist
2) 13.1
3) 26.2
Hope everyone is ready to hop on the Coexist train straight through the nomination and all the way to the White House!

I don't put election stickers on my car, I don't want my students to feel they have to temper their political opinions around me. I have one student old enough to vote who says she's voting for Bernie, and I'm estastic she's participating in the electoral process and told her I'm proud of her for paying attention to issues.
