I think you had to show current address and social security card and a utility bill for verification.

My guess i that the white property owners in an area knew all the other white property owners by sight, and that no kind of ID was required to vote. The rich guys probably just vouched for each other, most likely, tacitly.

therefore, we can safely assume that it wasn't intended. Strangely, teabaggers don't seem to care about this, which is surprising given how mad literal they are about the Constitution.

Nah,that's been thoroughly disproven...That particular edict is straight from the bible and as we all know,that takes precedence...
