2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumI went to a disability-oriented Obama fundraiser in SF last night. Ask me anything.
Except why they ran out of wine -- in Northern California!! -- and didn't bother to go out and get more.
We got Valerie Jarrett to speak, and raised over $100K for the campaign. Not shabby for a bunch of "useless eaters".

Too bad about the wine, though. Really? In the best wine producing area in the world?

The Mission, one of SF's nightlife hot spots, is officially an "alcohol restricted area", meaning there are so many liquor stores and bars there that The City won't approve any more. Also there is a supermarket-style BevMo! a mile or two away. Yet no one could be bothered to make an emergency wine run.
