Related: About this forumQuestion: Which Democratic candidate appeals most to the white Oligarchy?
Sanders, O'Malley, or Hillary?
I have read several posts saying wealthy, or wannabe wealthy, Trump supporters are the ones most likely to crossover to Sanders. I'm just not seeing it!1!! It appears to me that fed up, struggling working class Republican types are the only ones willing to cross over!! I must be missing some key component!!
Can some Hillary supporters please clarify this incongruency for me??1??

(30,481 posts)Considering media coverage, I would say Clinton is their worst fear. Polling shows Sanders does best with the wealthy so there seems to be support for him there. They all simply seem to be ignoring O'Malley which makes me think they view him as a threat.
In the end, someone in the republican field is who they want.

(50,254 posts)As to union leaders...in 1992, most of them endorsed Bill in the primaries even though they knew he was anti-union(therefore anti-worker) and pro-NAFTA. In 2000, most endorsed Gore, even though his views on workers and trade were identical to Clinton.
The union leadership, in the majority of American unions, always makes the most conservative choice in Democratic presidential politics, because the leaders care only about the prestige of getting to the go to the White House and about the useless status of "respectability".
