I am a Democrat

Over 50% of the electorate will vote Democratic. In spite of the emotional rhetoric and nastiness here 86% of the Bernie Sanders supporters will happily vote for Hillary Clinton and I believe it will be more.

Take that to the bank.

Philosophic burden of proof

In epistemology, the burden of proof (Latin: onus probandi) is the obligation on a party in a dispute to provide sufficient warrant for their position.

Holder of the burden

When two parties are in a discussion and one asserts a claim that the other disputes, the one who asserts has a burden of proof to justify or substantiate that claim.

There's probably 1/3rd of those here who love Sanders and hate Clinton who will not vote for her, won't pretend that they are, and will leave this site and the Party. I can respect them in that they at least live what they preach. If you truly believe Clinton is a corporate stooge, then to hold your nose and vote for her automatically says you have no backbone. I want people without a backbone to leave the Party because they're a drag on everyone else.

Of the other 2/3rds, you'll have maybe half of them who will claim they will hold their nose and vote for Clinton, but they won't. This is necessary to claim because of the TOS rules at this site. If Clinton wins, then they can say they voted for her which gives them the right to object to her policies. If she loses, they get past the "purests kept the Dem from winning" accusation and can do the "we told you so" to others. Staying at this site regardless is very, very important to many members.

And really, how hard is it to not really proclaim your voting intentions in the GE on this site and get away with it? Pretty darn easy, that's how hard.

I am not anti-Bernie. I've eagerly listened to Bernie for many years on Thom Hartmann. I love Bernie and it'll he is the nominee I will very happily vote for him.

What I will not do is create some kind of stupid rift in our coalition the way teabaggers have done in the Republican Party.

Not only do Bernie supporters here react aggressively against my stance on this, but they pretend to not understand. You all understand. The "prove it" schtick is a really stupid game.

You all are better than this.

I'd rather it be another Democrat, but she's probably gonna win the nomination, so I have to vote for her.

But it's still about policies, not specific people. And what I object to is the b.s.-go-round.

Then it's assured that Bernie can win. So let's get him the nomination so we can really work towards fixing our country and helping all the people!

FEEL THE BERN!!!
