2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumWe need to turn "Romney" into a verb
just like "Santorum" is now a noun denoting something other than the proper name of a former US Senator.
And so:
To "romney" is 1.) to take positions on all sides of a question, each in turn, or simultaneously; 2.) to answer the same question in different ways depending upon the perceived position of a given audience; 3.) to change a position multiple times for political or personal gain; 4.) to equivocate to such an extent that one's personal views become meaningless. Examples, "Asked the same question three days later, the candidate romneyed by saying he was both for and against a woman's right to choose in the case of rape or incest. Colloquial, "Did you hear her on CNN last night? Man, she just romneyed all over the place."
Alternately, as a noun,: "to pull a 'romney' is to rush into a position without knowing the facts, to make a fool of oneself out of eagerness to show one's machismo, cleverness, political savvy, generally without regard for the consequences for others."
Or, as a classic romney, we could use the term BOTH ways, depending on the situation and how we're feeling at the moment.
Your thoughts on this would be most appreciated.

Google "Spreading Romney" or go to http://spreadingromney.com/
In any case, an effort to fix an association to the name is worth trying (or supporting your favorite effort).
Other proposed definitions can be seen at the Urban Dictionary at http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Romney
Lying = Romney certainly reflects reality even if he doesn't.
