A Rally for Warren, as Massachusetts Senate Race Intensifies

Elizabeth Warren, the Democratic candidate who has seemed on the ropes in the hard-fought Massachusetts Senate race, has planned a major rally for Saturday in Boston with Gov. Deval Patrick.

The rally, at Boston University, comes as the race against Senator Scott P. Brown, a Republican, has intensified, with both candidates broadcasting their first attack ads of the campaign.

The two are preparing to face off on Thursday in the first of four debates in what many consider the premiere Senate race of this election cycle. It is the most expensive Congressional race in the country and the most expensive in Massachusetts history and could help determine which party controls the Senate next year.

Please suggest that they ask Bill Clinton to campaign for Warren. He could make the difference. She needs someone who can help some of the Independents towards her. Currently they are breaking for Brown.

Her opponant risks more - looking arrogant, patronizing, etc. She is time enough for him.

10. The problem is Independents

Brown has huge leads with them in every poll.

So even though Massachusetts is a Democratic state and Warren is winning Democrats, she's not winning enough Independents. So far they have bought Brown's argument that he is a moderate & independent voice who would never dream of supporting the far-fight agenda of the Republican Party.

Because what will determine Warren's success in November is whether she can win Independents. And Clinton could help make the case to some of them.
