(19,460 posts)Secondly, insulting Democrats does nothing to help your candidate. In fact, it makes him look more like a loser than a winner.

A simple Yes or No will do.
Thanks in advance!

(279 posts)I don't think this reflects on the Senator at all. It's on DU.
One of the things about DU is the "U", underground, or so it was.
There has been a ton of vitriol between the Dem factions on here and, frankly, it's crummy.
I think Clinton is a tired, poor example of establishment politics and I also think that her supporters are blind if they can't understand that perspective. It doesn't mean I won't vote for her in the general but that's what a primary is for.
I want things to go in the direction that Sanders is promoting. That should be simple enough for anyone to understand.
Supporting Clinton seems like fear to me, a little bit, but that's an opinion and I don't have any credible facts or evidence to back it up. Like, if you don't support the recognizable establishment candidate then we'll just lose for some reason.
It's a primary for crying out loud. Have fun.

It wasn't a "revolutionary" use of the word back in 2001--it was an understanding that we'd been stripped of any franchise, that we'd been bigfooted out of our rightful place in the public square.
If you go back to Old DU, and read what used to be called "the rules," the culture of this place was very easily understood. That culture has been rapidly diluted--this kind of thing would never have been permitted or even tolerated.
Do you think this kind of posting by a Sanders supporter reflects well on your candidate? Can you understand why adults might view this kind of thing with disgust?

(3,384 posts)Me thinks some people take themselves waaaay too seriously.
Are you sure that you aren't one of those intolerant Trump supporters?
If Bernie and Trump get their party's nominations, will you be voting for Trump?
Trump said it first: "That's disgusting!"
Thank you for your comment.

(135,425 posts)You may have "numbers" on this board now, but that won't last forever.
Calling me a Trump supporter IS rude, disruptive, hurtful and makes your goals here come into question.
Keep it up. What goes around.

(5,420 posts)leaving Bernie supporters to be the child, I guess, well it doesn't play that well, I guess. It is a common tactic for the Hillary supporters to use.

I have never sought you out to speak to you, but you can't say the same about me.

(3,373 posts)This is a thread where an anonymous person in an online discussion is making a somewhat funny joke about the follow-the-heard mentality of some Clinton supporter (I presume the OP infers this mentality from the fact that Clinton's campaign and supporters seem more fixed on arguing that Democrats should support her because she has already locked up the establishment support rather than focusing on the better reasoned argument about whether Clinton supports policies that more closely reflect their values as compared to Sanders' platform).
If you are choosing to support a candidate because an anonymous poster hurt your feelings by posting a clip from a funny movie, you may be helping to reinforce the OP's impression of Clinton supporters.

(3,373 posts)on-line comments of Sanders' supporters is irrational. If you are so easily swayed, then there is nothing to stop me from creating an on-line account for no purpose other than to post offensive things as a Clinton supporter with the goal of driving you away from Clinton. I presume you are too smart to fall for that, but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong in that assumption.

(135,425 posts)I was born at night--not last night.
This has nothing to do with being "swayed." I'm asking about perception, and you're using a lot of words to avoid a simple yes or no response.
How unsurprising that this kind of childish and snarky insult is your go-to, too:
I presume you are too smart to fall for that, but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong in that assumption.

(3,373 posts)attitude of many Clinton supporters on DU.
However, I do find many of the posts of Clinton supporters at DU to reflect poorly on the poster him- or herself, but this does not contribute to my preference of Sanders and O'Malley over Clinton or my preference of Clinton over the Republican field of candidates.

(5,420 posts)you a teacher? Nope, teachers are breaking for Bernie. Seems odd though that you try to put yourself higher than the Sanders supporters, calling yourself adults, etc and couple that with demanding all do what you say. It's kind of odd to me. But oh well, do as you please but please watch that holier than thou attitude towards others please.

(135,425 posts)I can't "make" anyone think or do anything. I can state my opinion, and I do. There's "Ignore" if my singular views trouble you. I won't mind. I like everyone to be happy.
And that "put yourself higher" comment is just weird. Also not true.
I think you might want to check your own self. If you aren't feeling right, look somewhere else rather than try to put it on me. I don't even know you.
Is a complete crapfest, isn't it? Their mommas must be so proud. smh
