Lineup of Entities/Religions in Syria Crisis
During the Syrian crisis -- before the last-minute Russian solution came up -- I was reading about the beginning of World War I. (Remember, 37 days after the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand, Europe was plunged into a savage war that almost destroyed European civilization.) The inexorable decline into World War was caused by pre-assasination alliances. So I got to thinking about how the sides would line up if a World War III started with some unexpected development in Syria. (Hope my table survives DU formatting!)
