Please congratulate me. My daughter was accepted at Wellesley college and Mount Holyoke College. Wellesley made her a better offer but she turned them down and is going to Mount Holyoke College this fall. I am so proud of her. A little nervous because she is going far from home, but overall giddy with pride. Women rock!!!

I wanted my daughter to go to a college far from home. She stayed close by. Now she lives on the other side of the country.

(53,035 posts)A good friend of mine went to Mount Holyoke and she is one of the smartest, most politically engaged people I know. Your daughter is going to get an excellent education!
She made her decision last night and today we are celebrating. She is very much a feminist and I have learned so much from her as well as all of you here at DU.
