Technically, i think the guy in question is a court officer, like a baliff, similar to a cop but different job.

The good news is both he and the family court judge who turned her chair away to ignore ms. Conteras's complaint, have been fired apparently. So at least there's that.

I thought baliffs were technically police officers assigned to the courts. Well I guess that's something that they were fired but I feel there should be real consequences and charges

I just wanted to direct you to the other thread TOO.

And yes the "officer" should be prosecuted. The whole story sucks. It's notable too how a "suspect" (read: everyone) loses all constitutional rights or expectation of dignity or being-listened-to, the minute an "authority" says the word "drugs".

There was a similar case up here where an anesthesiologist raped several women in a hospital, the first several of whom were not believed. Why? They were "drug suspects" and as such, apparently, not to be listened to. Ever.
