It's another Gallup phone survey with over 1000 individuals participating.

It's not broken down by gender, race, sexual orientation or socio-economic status, which to my mind most likely means they'll asked a bunch of registered white male of either political persuasion.

Although I would imagine it's possibly true, I also think think Republicans lie like a motherfucker.

and other women who work in the industry, having chosen it freely because they love the steady income.

In addition, some are like me and only draw the line when someone has been badly hurt in producing it, even though we don't particularly care for it, ourselves.

In other words, "acceptable" is a pretty low bar. It also covers a lot of territory.

"Do you enjoy porn?" would have gotten quite different answers.

I think the idea was to infer that Democrats are more enlightened-- or something--because this ridiculous poll showed that Democrats enjoy porn more than Republicans. In other words, flame bait

I believe porn could be done in a manner where it's actually erotic, what I see is stupid and boring. And yes I check it out once in a while, Gay (all genders) straight, SMBD, vanilla. It's become worrisome as smaller companies and amateur porn are completely Unregulated. Instead of evolving into a erotic experience, it's degraded into the racist, often violent fetishizism we see today.

All is not lost, they're are small companies trying to change it from the male gaze orientation into a human one, but the battle is huge. Sex is powerful, it hits the brain without assessment. Porn is a powerful medium as well. I wish they'd get it right--on rare occasions, I'll see something very erotic, very sensual, that doesn't seen to be into objectification of only the female body, but a blend of humans. Too bad it's so rare.

I don't have the time or the inclination to wade through a bunch of horrid porn to find something acceptable, so I just watch the the trends and titles-- those themselves are very telling.

Erotic porn for women can be found in the racier romance novels. Those leave me cold, too, unless the author is completely overwrought and the purple prose degrades into hilarity. I used to keep up with Oglaf online, the story line is a scream.

I don't seek porn out, it just does nothing to or for me. I don't get religion or US football, either.

As long as people aren't being seriously harmed (and this excludes all children), I have no quarrel with people who produce it or enjoy it.

Ignorant people like to joke that the difference depends on what the speaker likes or doesn't like.

The difference is in the words themselves. Eros is love. Erotica depicts people who obviously care for each other. There's foreplay. There's some kind of activity beyond boner-pleasing.

Pornography is prostitution on film. It is centered around what pleases men. There is little evidence of any concern for the people. There is most often humiliation involved, if not outright abuse, and the person being abused or humiliated is most often a woman, and she is usually depicted as enjoying it. Sometimes she is obviously in pain or distress, and that shit needs to be illegal.

There's Oversized sexual toys, oversized penises---Not to mention where the sperm of the male often ends up.

NOT erotic
