And definitely someone who had no business being anywhere near a feminist group. Here is a post from mistertrickster proclaiming the existence of some alleged group of "rad fems" who would supposedly wreck anti-rape education with an attempt to "ram their message of women's victimhood down the throats of all the men who already aren't rapists and never will be."

http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1002&pid=190010

Here's one from him trying to claim that a non-existent "all men are rapists cabal" exists on DU.com (which involved pathetic personal attacks against redqueen):

http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1002&pid=270091

And here he is continuing to promote the stereotype that feminists are anti-male and supposedly promote the idea that all men are rapists:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1002&pid=274175

He should never have been allowed to keep his posting privileges after spewing this slime. He should never have been allowed to post in the feminist group(s) after doing so. He is a vile liar and his subsistence here is one of the worst examples of how far from a progressive community this website really is.

Check back to the thread; I've edited one of my posts.

The exchange with you makes more sense once one realizes that the other party was not even reading the post the discussion was about ...

And on that ... well, pick your own characterization ... hinged my fate, apparently. As I said there: unfuckingbelievable.

I remember now. I guess it just hadn't occurred to me that such petty vanity would really have been the operational cause and I still find that hard to fathom. And there began the drive to have the power to pin and lock and pin and lock with nobody the boss of 'er ... and so she did, in, if you will forgive me, spades ...

Okay, enough of this, I shall turn my attention to more worthy subjects. Who will join us to talk Joan of Arc now?

And now vindicated!

Well, in this one small instance, anyhow.

Except that to some of us, that requires no vindication, of course.

one, most of his examples were not actually attacks, on his beliefs or anything else, and two (related to one) there are a few logical fallacies or misrepresentations that seem to crop of EVERY time one of those types of "objections" is lodged.

I've noticed over the decade I've been here, that the overwhelming majority of "attacks" on Christians and Christianity aren't attacks at all.

I've also noticed that those who scream the loudest about rampant "Christian bashing" are more than willing to attack Muslims, Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses(who are Christian), and even Jews. It's little wonder that two of them (mistertricker and Kurmudgeon) were recently PPR'd for misogyny.

Unless making uncool references to LGBT people is misogyny.

I don't know about Kurmudgeon, but MisterTrickster was brought
down by the preponderance of his shit-stirring and for his "gay sex"
comment. He finally managed to piss off EVERYONE.

I'm just glad he's gone.

I can't believe that he was allowed to disrupt as long as he did.

It's gone up again!

20 and 26, now.

I think I know who one of the new ones in that 26 is. I hadn't noticed a post in a thread a little bit back and saw it the other day.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1240&pid=65870

Of course, I couldn't reply there, so I replied by PM, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to answer the question in the subject line.

Here are the results of a simple little google search at this site for my name and the term "same-sex marriage", for posts from 2003 to 2011:

http://www.google.ca/search?q=site%3Awww.democraticunderground.com+iverglas+%22same-sex+marriage%22&num=30&hl=en&safe=off&complete=0&prmd=imvns&sa=X&ei=RjCDT_GLN8abgweJwYnnBQ&ved=0CBEQpwUoBg&source=lnt&tbs=cdr%3A1%2Ccd_min%3A2003%2Ccd_max%3A2011&tbm=

In case that doesn't work, use this to search:

site:www.democraticunderground.com iverglas "same-sex marriage"

and set the date parameters to 2003-2011, to see DU2 results.

... For some reason, setting the date parameters excludes large numbers of threads; here is the general search with no dates set:

http://www.google.ca/search?num=30&hl=en&safe=off&complete=0&q=site%3Awww.democraticunderground.com+iverglas+%22same-sex+marriage%22

Here's one you might like:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=102x2471750#2472139

Here are a few on what I thought of Obama's fraternizing with the foul McClurkin character during the primaries (again, look in the results for DU2 threads prior to 2012):

http://www.google.ca/search?num=30&hl=en&safe=off&complete=0&q=site%3Awww.democraticunderground.com+iverglas+%22mcclurkin%22

and one on that subject:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=3636161&mesg_id=3637205

(I also posted a collection of Coretta Scott King quotations on homophobia in that thread.)

... and offering a little advice ... which I see was of course not taken, since the post in question still stands in all its ugliness.
