was anyone else aghast at the mansplaining going on to the Appellate Court Judges

by the T lawyer?

I listened to the proceeding, not knowing that T was sitting there egging his creepy lawyer on. I only heard the voices.

But I began cringing in the first few minutes.

That guy- he was just so obnoxious. And the Appellate Judges so politely responding- the whole thing seemed to me to be dominated by a man telling women how to reason- and they did not respond back with any force. Only the normal nuanced and rather respectful discourse women have with know it all men all the time, very single day of my life, which thankfully has been long.

Not that I dreamed of them ramming the idiocy of his arguments back at him- as many men in that situation would have. But, overall, l was left wondering how it would have played to the general public had one of them laughed at him, or chastised him for bringing preposterous arguments to the court. With some verve.

Instead, it all came across as the usual man telling the women what to think.

What else surprised me was that nowhere anywhere did I see one thing written about this in the popular press.

I have been really busy lately and only now am sitting down to share these thoughts with you. But did anyone else react to that interchange in the way that I did?

I didn't hear it except for a few clips on TV but my guess is that the lawyer was putting on a show for his odious client.

but this aspect i do believe should not be ignored or accepted as normal. Just because it remains so frustratingly normal.

He was kissing Trump’s ass and playing to Trump’s deranged base. I thought the judges did a great job tripping him up and getting him to take more and more absurd/insane positions.

is all anyone other than me noticed.

I guess it is so normalized. Or do we consider them to be the same thing?

But that dynamic while frustrating would not have been surprising to see.

I haven't seen any analysis from this angle but it sure would be nice to see. Hopefully if anything pops up someone will share it here 🙏🏼
