Film rec: Come Early Morning. (Ashley Judd related.)

This is a terrific movie about the basic self-esteem issues that affect many women. I've seen it several times, and have always appreciated its straight forward, yet surprising approach to addressing this thorny relationship and life-management problem. Ashley Judd plays the lead and does great work in it.

The thing I love the most about this film is that it resists stereotypes. There are a lot of surprising character twists, including portrayals of decent male characters and Southerners for once. It's well written with great pacing, and can totally be viewed as having a feminist message.
