How do I transfer money from Paypal to my bank account/debit card?

I periodically receive small payments to Paypal for taking online surveys. It looks like that i am required to use their Xoom app, and pay a fee to withdraw the money, but not clear how much.

Are there any alternatives? It's such a small amount of money it doesn't make sense to pay to transfer it.

Thanks for the help.

When I go to My Account, I click Transfer Money. It shows your current PayPal balance.

You PayPal account is linked to a bank account when you set it up. If the Account is there, you should have no problem transferring money from your PayPal account to a registered back account.

I do Custom Design costuming for clients all over the country. They pay me through PayPal and I transfer monies from time to time to my Business bank account. No fees, no problem. The money is in my account within 48 hours.

Hope this helps.

Paypal says to create a link to a bank account, then says they can't create the bank link, and offers no support to explain why or how.

I've tried multiple bank accounts and multiple tries to no avail. Going to see if I can change my payment method from Paypal. This is BS!

It sounds like you might need to use the older/manual method of linking a bank account.

Approximate steps ... after logging into Paypal

1) Click on Wallet

2) then click on "Link a card or bank'

3) click on "Link a bank account"

4) type in (or find) your bank in their list

5) do NOT give them your bank web site login information, instead
click "Link your bank another way" at the bottom of the page.
And yes, this will take a few days to complete but is more robust.

6) give them the routing number and account number of your bank account, then 'agree and link'

Then they will deposit two small sums, and then withdraw them. You need to login to your
bank (or wait for your monthly statement) to see the exact amounts that paypal deposited.

Then log back into paypal and tell them exactly how much the deposits were. This proves
you have access to the account and they should complete linking your account with paypal.

Once it's linked, you can move funds between your bank and paypal, but the transfers
can take a day or two. The transfers are free unless you want a "rush" on it, in which
case Paypal takes a hit (I forget how much, I never do this).

I never let paypal keep more than a few dollars at a time. They have all the power
of a bank, with almost none of the regulations! And mail forged to appear as if it's
coming from Paypal is one of the oldest scams on the internet.

Good luck.

I finally go ahold of a support person who walked me through pretty much the process you describe. When it came to the test deposits, she bypassed it and got me connected immediately.

I can't tell you how many times I tried the same steps to no avail. So at least I'm in. From what I am reading, I don't want to use paypal any more than I have to.

Thanks again.

use the money in your PayPal account to pay for orders you make online? Such as eBay? I used to have a PayPal account but closed it when I found out that a wild eyed magat, Thiel was one of its founders

There are a zillion horror stories of Paypal holding funds, seizing funds, and so on.

I, personally, have had a paypal account and their mastercard debit card for a number of years, and then when I lost my card and requested a replacement, their stinking lousy customer service screwed me over in the process. They froze the money in my account, would not send me a new debit card, etc etc etc. It was under a thousand dollars, but they froze it and were totally unresponsive.

I know now that many, many people have serious disputes with PP that are not resolvable.

What I finally did is purchase things with that account until it is now spent down to fifty cents balance. Never did get a debit card replacement.

Hey. Elon Musk owns paypal. That ought to be enough warning. I consider it a criminal enterprise. And that's a shame, because when it worked, it was very convenient.

I am so frustrated with them. It's a rip off. Thanks for the confirmation.

I keep a minimum balance of $350 at any given time. I order fabrics, trims, patterns, other things for my busines from vendors with PayPal accounts.

From time to time, I have had emails from scammers saying my account has been frozen or my PayPal credit card(do not have one), has suspicious charges and to give correct information. I delete these emails.

HORROR stories.

And no response from customer service even when thousands of dollars are seized.
