DU Community Help
Related: About this forumis it possible to follow someone?
I did look through many posts and didn't see this question. New here so haven't posted enough to search yet.
Thanks for any help
Peace

The star also gets rid of the ads, allows you to post polls, and so on.
I recommend having one!

(34,075 posts)I don't know what you mean. I don't know what n/t means either. I see it everywhere but haven't figured it out
Thank you for your reply

(34,075 posts)sorry--i was attempting to ask CaliforniaPeggy about the welcome & help forum. i didn't know we had one. although i never knew we had a bereavement group either until my mom died and i went looking for a place of solace.
(i've only been around here since 2004 so... )
so, welcome to du i guess.
n/t means "no text" so you don't have to bother clicking on the link to see if there is more of a message. it's like if someone writes eom on the subject line after commenting. eom means end of message.

(17,997 posts)I pretty much signed up to read a friend's posts. Just very recently started looking around and commenting. So I guess I don't have enough posts for a star.
Thank you for your reply!

(26,117 posts)You can find information on star membership here:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=star
As for following people, there's not really a way to do that at present, but you can find posts by specific members via the Advanced search, as CaliforniaPeggy mentioned above (star required).
Also, if the person you want to follow has a DU Journal, you can see all their Journal posts in one place and even subscribe to an RSS Feed of their journal. For example, here's a journal of one of our particularly erudite members - see the RSS button near the top? You access a link to a member's journals by clicking the little View DU Journal icon next to the username in any post.
