I really, really love dolphins.
But they do thank up for all the fish 
to build you a planet. Get something creative instead of a boring old sphere
or some kind of transporter device to get people there quickly. We don't want to bring attention to ourselves with the Vogons again. Maybe the dolphins have a watery wormhole you can use 
of the physical universe, if only that it's "heavenly" there? 
Talk to the dolphins; they otter know.
Although it sounds a bit like how horses sleep. Most of the time, they do a standing "sleep" for about fifteen minutes multiple times throughout the day. They only have one short period of (I think) two hours where it's deep, relaxing sleep. That's when you may see them lying or sitting on the ground.
Unless they're really doing Horse Yoga
as it may have something to do with taming as done by certain native South American peoples.
I fear my days may be numbered.
