SIOUX CITY | Conservative blogger Michelle Malkin on Thursday blasted plans by Democrats to create a pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants. She said it is imperative that Republicans hold firmly against such legislative measures.

"Amnesty will beget more amnesty," Malkin said. "We've got to put an end to this cycle."

Malkin spoke at the annual Defenders of Freedom fundraiser held by U.S. Rep. Steve King, R-Kiron, at Stoney Creek Inn in Sioux City.

Malkin used a variety of tough phrases to describe people she disagrees with, from "Beltway barnacles" to "the grievance industry" to "idiot capitualist" governors who allow undocumented people to get driver's licenses. She said the rule of law that so many Americans follow must not be undercut by rewarding those who enter the country illegally.
