If the film is big in scope -- like any of the Marvel Avenger series -- it's fun to watch in the theater spread across the big screen, and be blasted with Dolby sound.

For smaller films, say "Under the Tuscan Sun," I like to curl up on the couch with my sweetie and watch the characters develop.

Porn I watch on my computer by myself.

Also, I seem to never quite understand what is going on and hubby can explain as we go along.

The sound is then transmitted wirelessly to my head phones and I can even hear the t.v. muted.

At a movie theater I can't hear the movie, so I watch them on my t.v. machine if I want to see them.

Don't miss anything this way.

If they would set up a system of headpieces at a theater, I certainly would go there. Similar to the old sound system at the drive-in movies years ago that you could hook to the window of the car.

I prefer watching comedies in a crowd at a theater. The experience of being in a large group with plenty of infectious laughter makes even bad comedies more enjoyable in a theater, let alone something like Girls Trip which is pretty much a laugh riot from start to finish.

I also enjoy watching movies with excellent cinematography and sound at a theater. The huge screens with impeccable projection and audio systems significantly enhance my appreciation and enjoyment of a film. Blade Runner 2049 and Call Me By Your Name fit the bill here.

Spectacle films and big time crowd pleasers like The Last Jedi and Black Panther and the surprise applause-inducing Love, Simon are also films that I prefer to see in a theater as well.

Movies that I prefer to see at home include thrillers or horror movies like A Quiet Place or dramas like The Post or The Shape of Water because I would rather experience them in a smaller, more intimate environment.

10. I have sort of a different problem

My husband and I don't go to movies in theatres any more because, one, the screens are small-ish, two, the cost (we live on his pension) and three, the sound quality. It's like they blast the sound so loud you can't even think (and I suffer from tinnitus and still think that movie theatre sound is too loud)

Quite often you have to endure people who talk throughout the movie or rattle their candy wrappers and that's annoying, too.

We have a nice big TV with surround sound at home, but, its the exact opposite ....I find that in order to hear conversation in a movie, the sound has to be turned way up. Then they cut to a scene full of action and it about blasts you out of your chair. One thing we often do is watch a movie with the closed captioning on so I can understand the conversation. And often times my husband can't understand the conversation, either, and he hears just fine. Does anyone else have this problem, or is it just us?

It's difficult for me to enjoy movies, period, any more..... I feel like such an old fogey saying that.....

I have watched ONE movie since it was finished. That was The Return of the King. It is such a disappointment to listen to a movie in a theater as compared to MY theater room that I can't make myself pay for that experience.

I love the big screen, but I can't remember the last time I was able to enjoy a movie without conversations (whole conversations, not just reacting to the movie) going on around me. So I find myself staying home, more and more.

but on a limited income I can't do it that much. I do make a point of seeing "movies for grown ups" in the theater because I want them to keep making them!

I prefer theater, I enjoy the atmosphere that a lot of people watch the same movie.

If you wish to share IOS movies with your friend and families, it is better to burn ISO to DVD and then play them on TV. Though you could watch them on the computer with a virtual drive.
