older sister of singer/actress Jeanette MacDonald. She later changed her name to Marie Blake and played character parts in MGM films. After her MGM contract ended, she changed her name to Blossom Rock (she had married Clarence Rock in 1926) and ended up freelancing and eventually became Grandmama Addams.

Actress Blossom Rock was #BornOnThisDay, August 21, 1895. Best remembered for her role as "Grandmama" on TV's The Addams Family (1964-'66). Her younger sister was screen actress/singer Jeanette MacDonald. Passed in 1978 (age 86) from a #stoke #RIP #GoneButNeverForgotten #BOTD
